Artisan Gold

This dress was designed around the model shown in the photo.  Ally is one of my favorite models and I wanted to create a stunning piece she could wear in a fashion show I was presenting in.  I wanted this dress to be an eye catcher and something very artistic as this look was going to finish the runway.  I gave the dress a unique look by alternating the pieces of organza with a beautiful lace that had a great trim to it.  I wanted to create the hi/low look to really make it stand out and each piece was hand placed to make sure it flowed just how I wanted it to.  I was so inspired the more I worked on this dress I just grew more and more excited.  What you don’t know is that time was quickly running out and I had to come up with the accessories to go with it.  I am always down to the last minute trying to perfect my designs that I quickly ran out of time with no accessories.  With two of my four children nearby, we riffled through my supplies finding pieces to match.  I found a fringe I LOVED, and some rosettes that were placed on the netting (also used to embellish the dress).  I was beyond thrilled when in that moment, the idea for the wrist cuffs came about and I was able to truly ‘complete the look’.
